Jess leads the team of Education Welfare and Safeguarding Advisors, ensuring we deliver the best service to schools, local authorities and multi-academy trusts, whilst putting the best outcomes for children at the centre of our approach. Jess has experience working in both the public and private sector to improve safeguarding outcomes and attendance of children and young people, with many years of experience as a Designated Safeguarding Lead and Education & Welfare Safeguarding Advisor.
Chris provides support to schools and academies, working alongside head teachers and school staff regarding intervention strategies and whole school approaches to improve outcomes. She works directly with children, young people and their families offering advice and solution-focused case work with a multi-agency approach.
Beginning a career as an SEN TA, and later achieving a Postgraduate Diploma in Social Work, Alyson’s specialisms are children & families, complex family support and mental health. Alyson is a Deputy Safeguarding Lead for One Education and provides Education Welfare and safeguarding support and training to schools both at a strategic and direct level. She is NSPCC trained and able to offer professional casework supervision to DSLs in school.
Adele supports schools through multi-agency approaches, analysis and reporting on pupil attendance data, recognising attendance patterns and trends to assist in meeting the needs of pupils with attendance issues. Adele can develop and enhance inclusive practice, providing knowledgeable guidance around legal framework.
Vanessa has a degree in Primary Education and has spent the last 10 years working with children and families. She worked as a Family Support Worker at a Primary school in Manchester focussing on safeguarding and attendance.  Vanessa’s background in education enables her to understand the issues schools face and how best to support staff and families.
Ella is a qualified teacher and has worked in multiple roles across local authorities and public sector provisions, including early help. She works relentlessly with multi-agency professionals and school staff providing training, support and advice in all areas of child welfare, ensuring that the approach from all is child-centred. Ella has the ability to remove barriers to education for pupils across a range of settings and complex backgrounds, building positive working relationships with parents and carers through a strength-based approach.
Lauren has a degree in Psychology specialising in Domestic Abuse and trauma. She spent 6 years working alongside Greater Manchester Police delivering direct support to families, and 3 years with Tameside’s Children’s Social Care supporting education settings to provide multi agency responses to early help and safeguarding issues. She is NSPCC trained and able to offer professional casework supervision to DSLs in school.
Sarah has a degree in education and has spent the last 20 years working in schools. Her experience as a safeguarding lead across schools means she has skills and knowledge in this area which she is able to share with schools who are working with complex families and those open to children's social care. Sarah is passionate about delivering training to staff to ensure that they are highly skilled professionals, which in turn improves the outcomes for vulnerable students.
