โThe only thing better than singing is more singingโ โ Ella Fitzgerald
One Education Music whole heartedly agreed with the late Ella Fitzgerald and proud to be working in partnership with the Royal Exchange Theatre, for the third consecutive year, where we will be hosting our annual Singaround events for Years 1, 2, 3 and 4.
Don’t miss out!
The Singaround events take place on Tuesday 12th March and Wednesday 13th March 2019, offering children the opportunity to come together to sing a range of songs suitable for their age group and vocal range.
The repertoire has been especially selected to include vocal warm ups, songs to support with the curriculum, two and three-part songs and songs from around the world.
Our vocal team will come into school prior the event to support teachers in teaching the songs to their classes.
We see the Singarounds as a chance for teachers to increase their own song repertoire and improve their own teaching of singing. We hope that teachers see it as a very positive and enjoyable form of CPD!
Fantastic venue
We are delighted to be able to host our singing events at the beautiful โtheatre in the roundโ. From the stage, its lighting and sound โ the venue really does enable children to experience one of Manchesterโs most iconic theatres, which is right in the heart of the city.
This year the Royal Exchange Theatre is offering schools a range of creative workshops and tours for schools as well as launching the Royal Exchange Childrenโs Company which promises to be an explosion of activity for children of all abilities aged 5-13.
If you, like us, agree with Ella Fitzgerald, then we look forward to seeing you and your class at the Singarounds.
