Part 1 29th January 2025 – Maintained School Governance

Explore the key information and frameworks set out in the new DfE Maintained School Governance Guide to help you to understand your key roles and responsibilities as you begin your journey as school governor. This session is part of a wider training programme, which includes a mix of individual off-line learning challenges and two interactive online sessions.

Part 2 4th February 2025 -Becoming an Effective Governor

Part 2 of the induction programme builds upon prior learning to help you put knowledge into practice on your journey towards effective governance. Discover guidance and top-tips to help you prepare for meetings, participate in governor visits, take on a Link Governor Role, and more. Plus, we will signpost to a range of sources for ongoing support. Ideal for new governors and experienced governors for a refresher.
